About this event

At this workshop, Bruce will share his almost four decades of experience leading off-sites, meetings, problem-solving, and idea sessions. Our focus at this workshop is to explore proven ways and approaches to make your meetings and teams more productive and engaging.

The session will be divided into two parts: In the first part, Bruce will present his 14 keys to creating a high level of engagement. You will learn over 15 tips on making your meetings much better. Bring your meeting tips, too, and we will share those.

Bruce will answer your questions about your meetings in the second half. Perhaps you have questions about your upcoming ideation meeting, team kickoff, or how to align your team better.

Bio

Bruce Honig is the Chief Executive Facilitator and Master Trainer at IdeaGuides. Bruce has provided highly engaging meeting facilitation and training for over three decades. Bruce’s focus is to make all meetings and training more involving to get more buy-in and access the wisdom/ideas/creativity in everyone. He has worked with hundreds of companies, governments, and NGOs representing most industries and areas, providing collaborative facilitation services at off-sites, retreats, and meetings, towards strategic planning, team development, and ideation.

In the late 70s, Bruce received B.A. in Educational Philosophy and an M.A. in Educational Psychology and Curriculum Design. He did research in the area of creative behavior and design at Farwest Laboratories for Educational Research and Development. Using a systems approach, Bruce developed a theory and program for cultivating creativity, which later became his consulting firm's basis.

Bruce's unique understanding of the creative process led him to invent a nationally marketed board game, CREATE: The Game that Challenges and Expands your Creativity, as well as many other games such as Just ImagineSproin-n-g and Choices.

He edited and wrote The CreativeMind, a newsletter devoted to supporting innovation in business, and wrote many journal articles and books on the creative act and effective meeting. He is also the principal author of Creative Collaboration: Simple Tools for Inspired Team Work and author of Leading Effective and Engaging Meetings.
